As most of you know, Micheal Turner, the running back for the Atlanta Falcons was supposed to have a monster year. He was projected as the #2 overall pick in fantasy football and most analysts were predicting huge numbers. Four weeks into the season his production was far below expectation. During the Carolina game in week 2 he was even taken out and replaced by our 3rd string RB Jason Snelling. With 3 games under his belt, Turner had 2 games with 60 yards or less. Not only was his total yards down, he only had 2 TDs. This is not what we wanted from him at this point
Then.......Isaac was born! Week 5, the Falcons traveled west to the bay area to take on the 49ers. Falcons are a 3.5 point underdog and facing one of the best defenses in the NFL. During week 4, the 49ers held the St. Louis Rams to 0 points and they even scored 3 TDs. Michael Singletary had his team prepared for battle.
I were wondering when Turner was going to have his break out game. Was it going to be week 5 in San Fran? To be honest, I did not think so as the 49ers had a stout defense led my Patrick Willis.
There he was. Isaac was sitting on the couch with his #33 jersey on rooting on Michale Turner and the Falcons as they crushed the 49ers (sorry Anuj). Was Isaac the inspiration that Turner the Burner needed? Could he hear Isaac's screams after each of his 3 TDs? Or could he see his fist pumped as he rumbled down the field for 100 yards? I am not sure. Was this a coincidence that Turner has his break out game on Isaac's first of many football Sundays? I will let you make the call. Dont forget Isaac was born on the bye week...
So all you Bears fans out there, be afraid , be very afraid! Isaac will be wearing his jersey this Sunday and every Sunday from here on out.
Go Falcons!
This posting was like reading a foreign language to me, but I just want to say that Isaac looks adorable!! I look forward to more updates. Love, Ushma
ReplyDeleteCongrats Emily and Justin!
ReplyDeleteAlthough Isaac is wearing the wrong uniform, he still looks incredible.
I can tell from the first picture that you have already taught him to keep his eyes on the ball. Talk about a fast learner.
i am psyched that only the second posting on the isaac blog refers to fantasy football. congratulations! (on the kid and the falcons' recent success)
