Alone with Daddy

What a a busy couple of weeks I have had! It is hard work being at school full-time and keeping up with my social life, but I am finally starting to adjust to it all. School has been going really well, and my friends are teaching me all kinds of new things. I got sick my first two weeks of school, but Mommy and Daddy keep telling me its okay and that this is important to build up my immune system. I think this is just to make me feel better, because then they always wink afterwards.

I also got to attend my cousin Miles' baby shower earlier this month! This was so fun not only because it was my first party, but it made me even more excited to meet my little cousin -- only a few weeks away! I just know we will be the closest of friends and I am already thinking about some very important things I will need to teach him in his first few weeks here on Earth! I also have a new cousin, Jake, on the West Coast! My Mommy and Daddy said I am just too young to travel to see him right now, but hopefully one day when I meet him I can teach him all my tricks too! And then, I have another little cousin in PA coming in April! I am so lucky for them all and my already wonderful cousins now!

Another big event this week was my first time away from my Mommy. Mommy went out of town for work and this was the first time we had been apart at night. We were really sad for this day to come, but we both did good and only shed few tears! It was easy for me because I had so much fun with my Daddy! We went on walks, read books, took a bath, and we had a lot of conversations about life. My favorite time for these long talks was between 3am and 4am...that way I knew I had my Daddy's full attention.

I have to run now....I am just seeing my first North Carolina snow and I want to go play!

Reading books with my Daddy...one of my favorite things!

Laughing with my Grandpa!
He always know just what to do to make me laugh...Now I know
why my Daddy is so silly too!

My First Blog

For the last three months, my mommy and daddy have been writing this blog. Now that I am a big boy, it is time I tell you about all my adventures in my own words!

What a busy couple of weeks I have had since the holidays. First, I'll tell you about how I got to spend two whole weeks with my Nana while my Mommy went back to work. We had so much fun! Nana taught me how to love books, play tug-of-war with Kermit the Frog, shop for shoes at Nordstroms (Daddy wasn't so happy about this!), and she even took me for walks around the house in my stroller when I needed to rest (how silly is that!?). I now know why my Mommy loves my Nana so much. I felt so lucky these last couple weeks to have all her attention!

I should also tell you that I started sleeping in my crib. I was in my bassinet, but I was getting way too big. I love stretching out in my crib and now that I have more room, I am sleeping through the night! I think me, my Mommy, and my Daddy are all much more rested now after the move!

I think my biggest news yet is that I started school this Monday. It was a little scary at first, but I am starting to like it more and more each day. Both me and my Mommy cried a lot that first day, but we are both doing better now. My teachers said I was "friendly" and "curious" on Monday, and today they said on my report card that I was also "happy"! I talked a lot today and it even surprised my teachers. I discovered that it is much more fun talking to babies because they actually understand me!

And just think, if I wasn't going to school I wouldn't have learned to write my blog!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all our family and friends around the world! We wish everyone a very happy and healthy 2010. Isaac is growing so fast and Justin and I are amazed everyday! Our most favorite part about the holidays is spending time with our family, and the holidays this year were even more special. We love to watch Isaac with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and little cousins. It is fun seeing the special bond he shares with them. Over the past month, Isaac began to love books, he is discovering his fingers and toes, and he is starting to play with his toys. Below are a few pictures of our December with Isaac..
